Mine Development
Shaft Sinking: Dumas is the contractor of choice for the most challenging shaft projects in Canada. From shaft design, shaft sinking, commissioning, dewatering and rehabilitation, Dumas is a fully integrated shaft sinking contractor. Dumas has the experience and knowledge to provide any shaft solution.
Full Scale Development: Our hard rock miners have excavated over 65,000 meters (213,255 feet) of lateral development in the last 5 years. Experts in both track and trackless development of any size, exploration, development, and production drifts, our miners will accelerate the access to the ore bodies to meet your expected revenue targets.
Raises: Whether it’s conventional open raising methods or mechanized raise climbing, we can design and construct ventilation, manways, ore pass and waste pass raises. Our mechanized raise climbers are used in some of the deepest metal mines in North America and have successfully completed some of the most challenging raises on the continent.
Longhole: With the best In-The-Hole drills on the market, Dumas is capable of drilling boreholes of 5 to 74 centimetres (2 to 29 inches) in diameter and up to 610 metres (2,000 feet) in length. From utility holes to drop raises and small ventilation raises, our longhole drilling services maintain the highest level of accuracy to save considerable time and resources.

Mining Construction
Surface or underground, Dumas has done it all. In the past few years, surface construction work has included head frames, complete hoist facilities, shaft collars, portals, mechanical shops, and complete mining facilities in remote areas.
Our underground construction services consist of track or trackless preparation, culvert and liner plate installation for unstable ground, crushing and conveying systems, chutes, grizzlies, rock breakers, paste fill lines, fuel lines, loading pockets and any type of refuge station or underground shop required.
Mine Services
