Development Miner
Driving of lateral drifts on ore and haulage using mobile equipment.
Responsibilities
- Wash and check scale entrance to the workplace, check for hazards and misfires.
- Muck, haul and dump to remuck.
- Wash face and clean holes, prepare face for drilling.
- Set up to bolt walls and back.
- Inspect holes for explosive and clean.
- Shoot line and grade.
- Set up to start drilling round.
- Mark up the drilling pattern, drill off the round.
- Tear down the drill equipment.
- Install services pipe, vent, blasting line.
- Prepare face to load, nip in the powder, caps to load.
- Remove all gear from the face.
- Wire up the round.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
