Raise Miner

To excavate and advance an inclined to vertical opening at a designated degree and height by drilling, blasting, mucking and timbering.

Climb ladders to face and identify loose and remove broken muck.
Identify any loose and scale down and inspect face for hazards.
Wash and clean holes and install eye bolts.
Clean down the gear and inspect planks.
Proceed to set up staging and check scale work area as per raise set up standard.
Wash face and inspect and paint bootlegs.
Set up gear for drilling.
Install ground support.
Bring in required supplies for the job at hand.
Install eye bolt for lanyard.
Install ground support.
Drill off the round and store gear.
Nip up powder and caps and load round.
Tear down the gear.
Descend raise.
Muck out the round.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
