Mr. Hassel joined Dumas in 2023 as Vice President, Operations, USA with more than 25 years of experience in the mining & construction industries across the United States. As a people-focused leader, he leverages his natural ability to build and foster relationships, both internally and externally, to effectively partner with teams for alignment within the company strategy.
Prior to joining Dumas, Mr. Hassel held positions of CEO, COO & President from 2008 to 2021 at Harrison Western, a heavy civil and mining construction company performing underground mining projects across the United States. Mr. Hassel intimately understands the market within the United States, how to develop business across new regions and disciplines, and brings specialized knowledge and experience managing operations within a portfolio of large-scale mining projects.
In addition to his extensive hands-on experience, Mr. Hassel’s credentials are further enhanced by a bachelor’s degree in Government/Political Science from St. John’s University in Collegeville, MN. as well as numerous personal development and professional certification programs.
